Most wedding dresses can be successfully taken in but it is a job that is best left to a professional seamstress with wedding dress alteration experience.
The construction of a quality wedding dress is often fairly complex -many will have 3-4 different layers that will need to be dealt with.
If a gown has a lot of beading this will often need to be removed from the portion that is take in to allow the seams to lay flat and not to be too bulky.This can be a very time-consuming task.
Our seamstresses have successfully taken in many wedding dresses by a couple of sizes -many brides are on a weight loss journey so having to take a dress in is a fairly common job for them.An experienced seamstress should not have a problem taking in your wedding dress.
